Modified Bit (Torch-on Roof)

Modified Bitumen Roofs

This roofing system is an evolution of asphalt roofing. It is made of asphalt, rubber modifiers, and solvents. In the torch on process, the seams are heated to melt the asphalt together and create a seal. This system can also expand, contract, and shift as required remaining flexible.

BENEFITS:

  • Energy efficient: due to the heat reflective properties.
  • Flexible: performs in extremely cold weather.
  • Tear-resistant: This feature makes modified bitumen roofing the ideal choice for low-slope.

We had Urecoat in to do the spray foam insulation for the new house we are building. They did the upstairs wall insulation, basement insulation and joists. We felt this was a great option for insulation + vapour barrier combined, plus the added benefit of reducing the potential for mold growth. They did a fantastic job, were quick and very professional. We will use them in the future to insulation the garage also. We were very happy with the service!
